Four Different Ways To Use the Washi Tapes!

Hello everyone! This is Deepti Stephens here today and I'm going to show how you can use your Washi Tapes in a more fun and interesting way! There are so many ways to use washi tapes and if you google search or Pinterest search it - you will find various techniques and ideas but today I wanted to highlight four ways of using your Washi Tapes! So let us begin!

Buy Washi Tapes Here

1. Filling Negative Spaces

You can simply fill them in the negative spaces!

I adhered the washi tape on to the card panel, then diecut the stars on another panel. When I combined these two panels, the result was great! the washi background just peeks through the die cut stars!

2. Use them as borders

This gold scalloped  washi tape is perfect for creating borders to your projects!

It adds so much elegance to your card!

3. Inlaid Washi Tape

Just like inlaid die-cutting, this is inlaid washi tape technique ( I coined the term!) :P

Create a chipboard like embellishment by adhering 4 to 5 die cuts. Adhere it on to the card base and now adhere the washi tape on top of it. Take a bone folder or embossing tool, crease in the lines along the edges of the die cut to achieve that inlaid style!

4. Custom Paper for your die cuts

You can also create custom designed paper for your backgrounds and die cuts.

Take a piece of cardstock and adhere your favourite washi tape all over the panel, place the die and run it through the die-cutting machine. There you go! You'll get a beautiful die cut.

There are lots of other different techniques to try with washi tapes. You can make what ever you like, just sky is the limit. I hope you find this post useful and I hope you would give this a try! Thank you so much for stopping by. Take care and I'll see you soon :)
